Brickit Green Education Kit – Integrated STEM + Sustainability

Students scan their LEGO® piles with the Brickit App and build sustainable-design challenges. The kit links STEM, circular economy and GreenComp competences.

Units Overview

Unit Focus What Students Learn Lessons
Eco Transport ChallengeEnergy efficiencyDesign vehicles using Brickit App ideas; test movement vs number of bricks.5
Water Saver SystemReuse of resourcesModel rainwater collection and filtration; observe cycle and conservation.4
Smart City LightsElectricity & logicSimulate sensors and timers using colour patterns in Brickit builds.5
Waste SorterRecycling systems & circular economyCreate machines that sort by colour/size; explore how materials can be reused and transformed into new products — linking to real recycling facilities and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption).5

Alignment

  • GreenComp 1–4
  • SDG 4.7 (Quality Education for Sustainable Development) / SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) / SDG 13 (Climate Action)
  • EU STEM Plan 2025
  • UAE GEP (COP28)
  • US Green Ribbon Schools Pillar III

This program demonstrates circular economy principles by reusing existing LEGO® bricks — students learn that materials can be transformed and repurposed, just like recycled materials in real-world systems.
