Games Library – Zero Waste, Recycling & SDGs

A set of ready-to-run classroom + outreach games that teach circularity using existing LEGO® as a metaphor for materials. Each game is print-ready and built around the Brickit routine.

How these games work

Every game uses the Brickit “hands-on first” cycle:

  • Sort to reduce chaos and define categories (like waste streams).
  • Scan to introduce “technology + constraints” (what we can and can’t see).
  • Choose to build ownership and decision-making (“What will we try?”).
  • Build to prototype systems and test ideas in a safe, playful way.
  • Measure + reflect so learning is visible (contamination %, throughput, team reasoning).

Recycling Basics baseline (US curbside): recycle bottles/cans/containers + paper/cardboard, keep food & liquid out (empty/clean/dry), and never bag recyclables.
Note: accepted materials vary by location — always check local program rules (especially for glass and cartons).
