Co-design the plan
We align lesson packs, logistics, and success metrics. You receive facilitation notes, parent messages, and a readiness checklist.
Run the pilot
You lead 1–3 Brickit missions. Our coach stays on call during sessions to answer questions and capture insights.
Reflect & scale
We review your notes, celebrate student wins, and extend access or plan the wider rollout with leadership.
Use what you already have — we fill the gaps
- Existing LEGO® collection (300–500 pieces per team) — mixed bricks work great.
- Printed lesson materials and student badges (we provide files and printing tips).
- One teacher device (phone or tablet) with the Brickit app for scanning builds.
- Optional Chromebooks with Google Play access — Brickit installs like any Android app and still requires zero student logins.
Brickit Pilot — Educator & School Partner FAQ
What is the Brickit pilot project?
The Brickit pilot gives educators and school partners early access to Brickit for Education — an interactive app that helps children learn STEM and math concepts through hands-on construction play. Participants receive free access, ready-to-use guides, and short demo lessons in exchange for brief feedback after classroom or workshop testing.
What do I need to join the pilot?
You only need:
- A tablet or smartphone (iOS or Android)
- An Android-ready Chromebook if you want to involve laptop carts
- A box of mixed building bricks — even old or incomplete sets work perfectly
You'll receive:
- A promo code for full app access
- A short educator guide and lesson ideas
- Optional templates for feedback or class reflection
No special materials or kits are required.
What age group is Brickit suitable for?
The pilot version is designed for children aged 5–12. Some educators also use it successfully with older students (up to 13–14) to foster teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.
In which languages is the app available?
Brickit supports English, Spanish, German, and Chinese. You can switch languages anytime in the app under Account → Language. Educator materials and guides are available in English and Spanish, and we're gradually expanding — please let us know if you need them in another language.
Does Brickit work on Chromebooks?
Yes. Any Chromebook that supports Android apps through Google Play can run Brickit. IT teams usually approve the app via managed Google Play so teachers can install it once and let students take turns scanning without tying the device to personal accounts.
Can we mix iPad, Android, and Chromebook devices?
Definitely. Many U.S. pilots run iPads for lower grades, Android tablets for makerspaces, and a few Chromebooks for student leaders. All devices pull the same missions, and because Brickit requires no student logins, device swapping stays stress-free.
Is there an Android education roadmap?
We're actively building a dedicated Brickit for Classes Android edition with extra classroom controls and deployment flags. We don't publish launch dates, but pilot schools receive quiet roadmap notes and can request early testing slots.
What do I need to do during the pilot?
- Use Brickit in one or more short sessions (30–40 minutes each)
- Observe how students engage and what works best
- Share your feedback — ideally as a short video, voice message, or written summary
A brief follow-up chat (10–15 minutes) may be scheduled afterward to discuss your experience.
How long does the pilot last?
The pilot typically runs for about two weeks after you start testing. We recommend 1–3 sessions during this time, but even one lesson already helps.
What kind of feedback do you expect?
We're especially interested in:
- How students respond and stay engaged
- How intuitive the app feels for educators
- Whether the math and STEM concepts feel clear
- Your suggestions for improving usability or methodology
You can share feedback in any convenient format — notes, a short audio, or a short classroom video.
Can I share the app with colleagues?
Yes, absolutely. You can recommend Brickit to other teachers or centers interested in testing. Just let us know their names or emails, and we'll send them their own access codes.
Is participation paid?
No. Participation in the pilot is completely free. Educators receive access and materials in exchange for their insights and practical feedback.
What happens after the pilot?
After we collect feedback, our team will improve the app and curriculum. Pilot participants will receive:
- Early access to the updated version
- Recognition as part of the Brickit Educator Network
- Optional inclusion in our global pilot showcase
Who can I contact if I have questions?
You can reach the Brickit Education Team by replying directly to your pilot invitation email or via LinkedIn. We're happy to assist with setup, lesson ideas, or technical support.
